In January 2025, we made our strategic entry into the Spanish renewables sector with the acquisition of a fully operational 50 MW solar PV project. Following a second closing in June 2025, our Spanish portfolio now comprises 150 MW of installed capacity.
Alongside Germany, Italy and Poland, Spain is one of Tion’s core markets.

Growth Ambition
A leading European renewable energy producer

We aim to become a leading European renewable energy producer, operating a portfolio of solar PV and onshore wind projects as well as battery energy storage systems with an installed capacity of three gigawatts by 2030.
Our goal: drive operational excellence, optimize our projects continuously, and commercialize the green electrons we produce with industry-leading standards.

Portfolio & Geographies
A focused country approach
We actively evaluate projects within the European Union, distinguishing between focus countries (“core markets”) and watchlist countries.
We aim to build sizeable, diversified, and complementary portfolios of solar PV, onshore wind and BESS projects to achieve operational excellence and commercial vigor.
The adjacent graphic illustrates the split of technologies and installed capacities across our current focus countries Germany, Poland, Italy and Spain.

Going beyond with joint forces
In addition, we hold a >25% stake in listed renewable energy producer clearvise AG:

Solar PV revamping in Italy
Portfolio optimizationSolar PV revamping in Italy
Portfolio optimizationRevamping transforms aging renewable assets to elevate efficiency and extend lifespan. In 2024, we completed our first 1 MW solar PV revamp in Italy. By replacing all modules and inverters with cutting-edge, higher-efficiency components, we anticipate a performance increase of approximately 25%, demonstrating our commitment to asset optimization.

PPA commercialization in Poland
Portfolio optimizationPPA commercialization in Poland
Portfolio optimizationSince 2025, we actively support building materials manufacturer Saint-Gobain in achieving their goal of carbon neutrality by 2050. Under a 15-year virtual Power Purchase Agreement initiated in 2022, we will deliver 190 GWh green energy a year from our Polish onshore wind project “Dębowa Łąka”. This supply will meet 45% of Saint-Gobain’s electricity needs in Poland and avoid 135,000 tons of CO₂ emissions each year, representing one of the country’s largest virtual PPAs.

Onshore wind repowering in Germany
Portfolio optimizationOnshore wind repowering in Germany
Portfolio optimizationRepowering is the process of replacing older components with more powerful ones, which can reduce the number of turbines but increase the output. In our German flagship project, we decommissioned six aging wind turbines and installed two state-of-the-art turbines, increasing the total installed capacity of the portfolio from 9 MW to 13.6 MW. This strategy not only increases output, but also simplifies maintenance and operation.
